Character Of Chadwick Boseman Will Not Come Back For Black Panther 2

Chadwick Boseman left the world and left big shoes to fill for Black Panther. Moreover, Black Panther 2 will release in 2022 and Marvel has decided not to bring back the character. As a way to honor Chadwick, they have decided to explore the other characters of Black Panther. Disney’s Twitter handle made an official tweet that said, “Black Panther 2, opening July 8, 2022, is being written & directed by Ryan Coogler. Honoring Chadwick Boseman’s legacy & portrayal of T’Challa, @MarvelStudios will not recast the character, but will explore the world of Wakanda & the rich characters introduced in the first film.”

Makers Taking Time With Black Panther 2 After Demise Of Chadwick Boseman

The executive producer of Black Panther, Alonso revealed that they are taking time to come up with a plot for the second installment. However, they want to make sure that they respect Chadwick and still come up with a good story. Moreover, Alonso said, “There’s only one Chadwick, and he’s no longer with us. Sadly, our king has died in real life, not only in fiction, and we’re taking a little time to see how we continue the story and how to honor this chapter of what has unexpectedly happened to us, so painful and terrible to be honest.”

Alonso revealed that Chadwick uplifted her company. Moreover, she said, “Chadwick wasn’t only a wonderful human being, every day of the 5 years we spent together, but also, I believe, that what he did as a character elevated us as a company, and has left his moment on history.”

The President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige called the death of Chadwick as a very big loss. Moreover, he said, “He was our T’Challa, our Black Panther, and our dear friend. Each time he stepped on set, he radiated charisma and joy, and each time he appeared on screen, he created something truly indelible.”
